Chocolate Chip Ricotta Cake
Chocolate chips and Ricotta cheese combine to make this moist and delicious cake. Serve with a hot beverage and dusted with powdered sugar.
Pure Vanilla Extract
drained of any excess liquid
All Purpose Flour
Mini Chocolate Chips
dusted with flour
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9 inch cake pan.
In a large bowl, beat the eggs, egg yolk and sugar until creamy and light.
Add the vanilla and the ricotta cheese and beat to combine. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt and baking powder. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and combine.
Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and place in the oven.
Bake for 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the middle.
Cool and remove from the pan. Slice and enjoy.
pour chocolate chips into a bowl and toss with a tablespoon of flour. This will help suspend the chips in the batter and keep them from falling to the bottom.
