Slow Cooker Cream Cheese Taco Dip

I love trying new dips! I take a majority of my new dips to work with me and share with the other staff members. This is where I get honest opinions and suggestions on ways to enhance flavors or make the dips better. It is easy to tell which ones are a hit based on which ones are left by the days end.

The cream cheese makes this dip creamier when mixed with the Velveeta Cheese. If you like it a little hotter, add in some chopped Jalapenos or a few dashes of some Louisiana hot sauce.

I used my smaller 4 quart slow cooker for this recipe.  Be sure to cook the hamburger ahead of time, soften the cream cheese and chop the Velveeta into chunks.

Corn chips, Doritos or even tortilla chips are great chips to dip for this yummy recipe.  You can store this dip and reuse by reheating it on the stove or microwave.  It can store for 5-7 days.

You can also cook this dip in the oven. Cook the hamburger first, combine all the ingredients into an oven safe pan. Cook at 350 degrees for about 40-50 minutes or until the middle is bubbly. Serve with your choice of dipping chips.
