Slow Cooker French Onion Pork Chops

I love French Onion Soup. It is one of my favorite soups to eat during the fall. The bread soaked in the juices of the soup with melted cheese over the top.

This is pork chops done like French Onion Soup. The onions are nice and tender and full of flavor from the soup. I added in the extra sliced onion just to give more flavor to the sauce.

The pork chops is tender and full of flavor. Mix in the sour cream prior to serving and top the pork chops with a couple huge scoops of the sauce and the onions. Toast French Bread with shredded mozzarella. Use the toasted bread to soak up the juices, just like French Onion Soup.

Frugal Tips:

  • I love using onions. But, freezing onions is not something i recommend doing. The smell of the onions still permeate through the plastic bags. Purchase onions in bulk, but store in a cool dry place. I use old milk crates and store the onions in my basement back room. Check on them every couple of weeks or more and remove anything that is going bad.
