Slow Cooker Spicy Kielbasa Jalapeno Dip

Pre-cooking the kielbasa pieces brings out the flavor of the kielbasa. You want the pieces to just be turning brown in the skillet. Combine everything in the slow cooker and let it cook.  You will need at least a 4 quart slow cooker  a medium size skillet, cutting board and good knife.

If you want more “heat” don’t be afraid to add in more jalapenos. I like the heat so I always double the amount of jalapenos into my recipes.

You can use any hot sauce, I personally use Louisiana Hot Sauce and sometimes I can use apricot preserves I have canned myself.  Sometimes I am out and need to use ones from the store.  A good quality mayonnaise and all the other ingredients will need to be fresh.

Slow Cooker Spicy Kielbasa Jalapeno Dip can also be cooked on the stove. Toast the kielbasa and then add everything into a small pot. Add all the ingredients and heat on low as you stir. Serve with toasted French bread, pieces of rye bread or tortilla chips.
