Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Pork
Pulled pork in the slow cooker is one of the easiest recipes to make and one that comes out tasty and delicious. I have yet to find a pulled pork recipe that I did not like! And, this is the one food that my kids will eat no questions asked.
Pork shoulder is what I used on this recipe. You can also use a pork roast or even a pork tenderloin. I have used all three before and really it depends on the price of the cut at the store in what I choose to use. The key is to remove the extra fat. Some fat is good, but too much is not.
I prefer to cook my pulled pork slow and low. 8-10 hours on low is what I suggest. I feel the meat is more tender this way and the flavors are better. But, that is just me. My sister prefers to cook it on HIGH and for a shorter time.
Once the meat is cooked, either remove it and shred it or you can leave it in the slow cooker and shred it that way. Serve the pulled pork on WARM straight from the slow cooker.
