My teenager loves to follow in her mother’s footsteps and enjoys cooking as much as I do. She also loves to make her own recipes up and try new things just to see how they turn out. And, this is one of her creations the Slow Cooker Chocolate Chip Brownie Cake.
This recipe is simple enough. The recipe calls for one box of your favorite brownie mix and one pouch of your favorite chocolate chip cookie mix. Two mixing bowls will be needed to prepare this recipe. One bowl will be needed to mix the brownie mix according to the box and the other bowl will be needed for preparing the cookie mix pouch according to the instructions on the box.
Once both are prepared, you will need to spray cooking oil on the inside of a 4 quart or 5 quart slow cooker. Then pour the brownie mix in first spreading it evenly on the bottom of the crock. Next, add in the cookie mix. This is easiest done by using a spoon to drop in large spoonfulls.
Next, turn the slow cooker on to high and put the lid on the bowl. Come back in two hours and get ready to enjoy! Spoon the Slow Cooker Chocolate Chip Brownie Cake out into bowls and top with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream and drizzle some chocolate syrup over the top. Easy peasy!
This is a recipe that you can add in ingredients to taste to make this dessert even better.
- mint chocolate chips
- chopped walnuts
- caramel drizzle
- Hershey’s syrup
- shredded coconut
This recipe can also be made using the oven. Prepare the brownie mix in one bowl ad the cookie mix in the other bowl. Next, using spray cooking oil, spray the bottom of a 9×13 cooking pan. Add in the brownie mix firs, then add in the cookie batter using a spoon. Cook in a preheated 350 degree oven for 30-40 minutes or until the center is cooked.
