Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken
I used chicken quarters for this recipe. You can substitute boneless skinless chicken breasts or even chicken thighs. But, remember bone in chicken takes longer to cook then boneless. Fix the sauce and brush over the top of the chicken.
I love that the slow cooker allows me time to cook dinner without standing over the stove and I can do other things while dinner cooks. In summer months, I use my slow cooker on a daily basis. The slow cooker does not put off the heat the oven does, and I can sit outside and enjoy the day while the dinner cooks.
I used a 6 quart slow cooker and some delicious raw honey, to help make this dish amazing to smell, taste and be good for us too. I had some dried basil that I saved from my garden, but there are great options at the store that will work just as well.
Serve over white rice or a side of wild rice and some steamed vegetables.
