Ingredients

  • 3-4 Pounds St. Louis Pork Ribs Rack
  • 4 Tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1 Tablespoon Chili Powder
  • 2 Teaspoons Onion Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Pepper
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Paprika
  • 1/4th Cup Apple Cider
  • 1 Bottle BBQ Sauce You won't use the whole thing
  • Cooking Spray
  • Aluminum Foil

Instructions

  • Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. If you can pry a little bit with a knife you should be able to pull the rest off.
  • Mix all of the spices and brown sugar together. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees.
  • Cover cookie sheet with foil. Then Use 1-3 sheets of foil that you will lay the rack of ribs in and cover so that it will be easy to unwrap (push all the foil to the top above the ribs to keep moisture in once spices are rubbed in, but not too tight.) You'll want the moisture, juices to stay inside the foil if possible.
  • Spray the foil where you will place the ribs. Rub the spices/brown sugar mix first into the bottom of the ribs, then flip them over and use liberal amounts of the mixture to rub into the top and sides of the ribs.
  • Push the foil up over the ribs, place in the oven for 2 hours.
  • After 2 hours, unwrap the foil carefully pour the 1/4th cup of apple cider over the ribs and recover. Turn the oven up to 350 and cook for 25 minutes.
  • Push the foil down out of the way, use your baster brush and brush liberal amounts of BBQ sauce over the top and sides of the ribs. Place in the oven and put the oven on broil. You will need to keep the oven door slightly ajar while it's cooking. It will take another 10-15 minutes, with you observing so you keep the BBQ sauce and ribs from burning.
