Homemade Spinach Quiche

Spinach and cheese combine with eggs and milk to make this quiche delicious. Use a homemade crust or refrigerated one for a meal.

Ingredients
  

Homemade Pie Crust

  • 1 Cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter
  • 3 Tablespoons Cold Water
  • 1/2 Teaspoons Kosher Salt

Quiche ingredients

  • 1 Small Yellow Onion
  • 3 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
  • 1 Clove garlic minced
  • 6 Medium Eggs
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 1 10 oz Frozen Spinach squeezed of excess water
  • 1/2 Cup Shredded Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 1/2 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 9 Inch pie pan.
  • In a medium bowl, add the flour and salt and cut the butter into the flour. Slowly add in the water until a ball forms. Roll out the ball into a round flat crust. Form the crust in the bottom of the pie pan.
  • On the stove top, heat the onion, garlic and butter until the onions are translucent.
  • Add the onions to a medium bowl and cool slightly.
  • Add in the eggs and milk and whisk. Add in the remaining ingredients and mix well.
  • Pour the quiche mixture into the pie pan on top of the crust.
  • Place the pie pan on a cookie sheet (for any possible spills) and place in the oven. Cook for 35-40 minutes or until the middle has set.
  • Cool slightly and slice. Serve.
