Ingredients
  

Cake Batter

  • 2 Cups All Purpose Flour
  • 2/3 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 3 Teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter
  • 1 Cup Milk

Apples

  • 4 Medium Gala Apples cored, peeled and diced

Sauce

  • 1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 1/2 Cup orange juice
  • 1/2 Cup light brown sugar packed
  • 2 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter melted
  • 1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Grease the inside of a 5 qt or 6 qt slow cooker.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt for the batter. Cut in the butter until crumbs form. Stir in the milk to form the batter.
  • Pour the batter in the bottom of the greased slow cooker.
  • Add the diced apples on top of the batter.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, mix the ingredients for the sauce. Pour the sauce over the top of the apples.
  • Cover and cook on HIGH for 2 hours or until the apples are tender.
  • Serve in bowls warm.
