Slow Cooker No Bean Chili

When the cold weather comes around, making chili for lunch or dinner is a must. Served with saltines or saltines with butter (this was something my grandma use to give us as a treat and they are great dipped in chili).

This is my go to recipe for my kids. They love eating chili but they think beans are yucky and will eat around them. I make this for them to enjoy and I always stick 5 or 6 saltines with butter on the side.

If you prefer beans, add a can of beans or two into this recipe. I like the Chili Beans. Make sure to rinse the beans before adding the to the rest of the chili and give a good stir to get the beans mixed in nicely.

The nice thing about chili is you can add extras to just bring the taste up a little more. Dice a yellow onion and add the onion in with the ground beef as you cook it. Or even some green pepper too! You can add chili beans in and regular red beans. Or even bring it up a notch or two with a fresh diced jalapeno or a ghost pepper.

Top with shredded sharp cheddar cheese or diced yellow onion!
