Slow Cooker Parmesan Garlic Potatoes
I am always looking for a new side dishes. My kids want to try new things and get tired of the same old mashed potatoes or macaroni and cheese. I found this recipe and decided to give it a try for my picky eaters!
My local store sells small baby potatoes. I sliced these in half but you could also make wedges with the potatoes or even quarter them. I like to rinse my potatoes twice after slicing them. This helps remove some of the starchy feel of the potatoes.
Next, you toss the potatoes with the melted butter, olive oil and garlic. Sprinkle the seasoning over the top and toss again.
Potatoes came out fork tender with just enough seasoning! Topped with a little Parmesan cheese and I had a side dish my kids loved.
Now with Red Potatoes or Small baby potatoes they often go into my refrigerator because I have a very specific dish for them and will not be storing them long. However for Idaho/Russet I needed a better idea then just letting the bag sit on my Kitchen floor. I found this Potato, Onion, Garlic holders. What I liked about them were they were washable and that, although they are adorable together, I can actually store the onions/garlic away from the potatoes because the onions cause the potatoes to sprout/go bad quicker. So many holders are all one gadget and thus that wouldn’t be possible.
